Prayer Ministry

The Scripture says that God’s house shall be called a House of Prayer. That is why since the founding of LHCM, it has always put emphasis in the importance of prayer. This is very evident not only in the preaching of Pastor Jose, but also in the various prayer activities that LHCM has been engaging with throughout its history. For instance, LHCM starts the year with a set day of prayer and fasting and spends every first Friday Service each month for prayer.

In line with LHCM’s emphasis on prayer is The Intercessory Group, which is comprised of LHCM members who committed themselves to regularly meet each week to pray. The Group in particular aims to diligently seek God’s face and pray for the fulfillment of the Great Commission, intercede for the nations, and pray for LHCM; its leadership; its members, and its various ministries.

In addition to the weekly meetings, The Intercessory Group enjoins the congregation to altogether fast and pray by facilitating the 40-Day Chain Prayer and Fasting. The congregation-wide fast is held twice a year— one during spring and another in the fall. The schedule coincides with our missions trips so as to also keep the ongoing effort continually lifted up in prayer. As a result is God’s tremendous move and reports of answered prayers.

The Intercessory Group is always in support of other ministries both in praying and involvement in various capacities. The group likewise stands with LHCM as it pursues its vision and mission, and upholds its core values.
